"ISIS terrorist" crosses Canadian border on Lake Erie into the United States

Published on Sep 8, 2014
ORDER Breakthrough by James O'Keefe -- Now out in Paperback! http://goo.gl/fgUuKO. In a Project Veritas investigation released Monday, James O’Keefe exposed the lack of security along our border with Canada. In the follow-up to the investigation that featured O’Keefe crossing the Rio Grande disguised as Osama bin Laden, the latest investigation illustrates the lack of border security by simulating a terrorist infiltration across Lake Erie and into Cleveland.

James' Myspace: What was that like?

NJO: So on the 13th of June 2013, without any warning, the proprietors of the world's most popular social media platform 2005-2008 went and put its entire existing content to the torch. Great job, wankers.*

I managed to recover a fair bit of James' Myspace by copypasting the remaining cached text in the Google search results. Here's what I got:

* Seriously, the destruction of an enormous historical resource like this makes me want to punch something, and when I say "something" I mean that Tom guy or whichever bright-eyed, coke-rictus-sporting billionaire bawbag did the despicable deed.

As of November 2013, the Google search results for "site:myspace.com" were still displaying text from the wiped pages, so I thought I'd experiment with this a bit. (See below)

I would say this gave me a small sense of the amount of stuff that future generations won't be getting to know about now.

(UPDATE: Okay, haha, so it later transpired that it wasn't quite the total historica-bonfire I imagined. If an original-iteration Myspace user wishes to recover their old content, they apparently can do that now. Still far from ideal for future historians *cough* and nosey people like me *cough*. Also still a total dick move to just leave your users hanging like that for, what was it, a year? until letting them know their pictures, journals etc. could be recovered. When the site went down I remember reading a post by one guy, devastated, claiming he'd used Myspace for keeping a detailed journal of his medical school career and travelogues which were understandably very dear to him. You've got to imagine there are a lot of people like that who had something important to them stored on Myspace, but who for whatever reason (disenfranchisement; the shortness of life) will never happen to see the memo about the recoverability of said stuff. So, yeah. Definitely could've been handled better.)

I have a problem on my hands that I think has potential for unnecessary backlash.

Today, James is meeting with a CNN correspondent today on his boat. She is doing a piece on the movement of conservative filmmakers.

She doesn't know she is getting on a boat but rather James' office. James has staged the boat to be a palace of pleasure with all sorts of props, wants to have a bizarre sexual conversation with her.
He wants to gag CNN. The document attached has all details.

The idea is incredibly bad and second CNN could go after James, the reporter is flying in and renting a car to have a talk with James.

What do you think? This is happening at 12:30 EST.

I am driving up to help James but the more I think about it we should not be doing this.

Cheers,
Izzy

The CNN Caper document, Part II: Abbie Boudreau

NJO: "Benjamin Wetmore: A mentor of mine; a genius", said James O'Keefe in an interview in September 2009. So let's take a look at some of the wisdom of this certifiably mentorial influence on James' life.

Today, the second part of the CNN Caper planning document, which deals specifically with Abbie Boudreau, i.e. how to go about damaging her credibility and by extension CNN's.

Content of document sourced from Breitbart Unmasked.

CNN Caper part two: Abbie Boudreau

1. Activists needed

a. James
b. possibly one other person

2. Support needed

a. None really, could be done with just James
b. Ideally one other person to be in the parking lot or woods to get reaction as they leave, and b-roll footage.

3. Equipment needed

a. Video

1. hidden cams on the boat
2. tripod and overt recorder near the end, an obvious sex tape machine

b. Props

1. condom jar
2. dildos
3. Music
a. Alicia keys
b. 80s romance songs, things that are typically James
c. avoid Marvin Gaye as too cliche
4. lube
5. ceiling mirror
6. posters and paintings of naked women
7. playboys and pornographic magazines
8. candles
9. Viagra and stamina pills
10. fuzzy handcuffs
11. blindfold

4. Concerns and potential problems

a. bad reaction
Bad reactions need to be met with adaptation and adjustment to either ease off or apply more social pressure to the situation in order to keep her in the skit.

b. Christian Hartsock
Considering the complex dynamic with Hartsock, that he will see this CNN connection as his 'big break' and that he's notorious for having loose lips, he certainly can't be trusted to keep this in confidence, and will speak to either people his age or perhaps even to CNN directly to curry favor.  He should be given the vaguest details, and if he's upset about the potential complication to his future, reminded that future operations will be newsworthy as well.

c. if CNN gets advance warning
If CNN gets advance warning and finds this out, you should simply cancel the operation, period.  Their forewarning can be

d. if she refuses to get on the boat
Just leave.  You're in a position of strength.  Make her come to you.  To leave the boat kills the operation.

e. if they refuse the interview
You're negotiating from a position of strength, so simply refuse to do the interview until they agree to your terms: Boudreau and during a time when you're out on the boat and relaxed.

f. Running the operation without props and with a dirty boat
In the rush to get this done, the temptation will be to skimp on the details, and that just puts two things at risk: 1) Boudreau's confusion as to whether this is legitimate, ruining her reaction which is key to the operation, and 2) making the video that much less interesting lacking props and proper ambiance.

g. too many chefs in the kitchen
I already spent 30 minutes defending the idea and trying to battle crazy permutations from Burns.  The more people you tell about an operation, the more it 1) opens it up to unknown future problems, 2) good ideas have to defend against bad ones, 3) people running their mouths to Hartsock, CNN and other people will cause additional unknown complications.

h. After the fact with CNNCNN could issue a statement, the Anderson Cooper show could make some comment about what a lech you are, or could do something either on the presumption that you 1) actually are a creep or 2) they realize it was a gag afterwards  or 3) they admit it was a gag, but say you're a creep and an anti-feminist for doing it regardless.  It's probably most likely they'll ignore the story and hope it goes away, but if it does get covered, there are likely three main scenarios, advice pending each main eventuality:

1) if they pursue this as you are a creep, you should play it up with them initially only to reveal that the tape was made beforehand confirming this was a gag.  Focus on the fact that this was a gag the entire time and they aren't 'in' on the joke.

30% chance

2) if they admit it was a gag, you should release the footage and focus on the fact they got punked, and make sure to emphasize Abbie's name and overall status to help burden her career with this video, incident and her bad judgment in pursuing you so aggressively.  Keep the focus on Abbie if they try to make this just a stunt and move on.

3) if they go on the attack, you should point out the the hypocrisy in CNN using the inherent sexuality of these women to sell viewers and for ratings, passing up more esteemed and respectable journalists who aren't "bubble-headed bleach blondes" and keep the focus on CNN.  If they attack, keep the focus on CNN and the higher-ups at CNN, such as Jonathan Klein, who has changed the channel from serious news to unserious news by pretty-blonde anchors in lieu of real journalists.  If they attack, fight back even harder.

60% chance

i. Burns: IIED concerns

IIED has a high threshold, and courts typically don't like it anyway.  The elements are:

1. Defendant acted intentionally or recklessly; and
2. Defendant's conduct was extreme and outrageous; and
3. Defendant's act is the cause of the distress; and
4. Plaintiff suffers severe emotional distress as a result of defendant's conduct.

I think this is not 2) extreme and outrageous and 3) she would have a hard time proving "distress" and 4) would also be tough, given her experience as a hardened reporter.

j. Sexual harrassment concerns

Sexual harrassment is primarily a workplace concern and not out of the workplace.  Though we're perhaps not 100% in the clear on this, the risk of this is very low.

5. Dialogue

a. Pre-operation video

(Dialogue below under number 10)

b. Initial smalltalk and conversation, coming onto the boat

c. build-up to the catalytic moment

AB: Are you recording this?
JO: If you want, I can record it, I usually don't record it unless I'm trying out a new position or something really kinky though.  I have the camera set up though, so we can do whatever you want, whatever you feel comfortable with.

AB: Is this a gag?
JO: Abbie, I'm not really into S&M, so I don't have any toys like that...
AB: No, is this a joke, are you kidding?
JO: Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you were talking about S&M, what do you mean is this a gag?
AB: You can't be serious, I'm married.
JO: Abbie, there's never going to be a right time for you and I.  There's only right now.  We have to make the most of the time we're given, and we're being given right now.

AB: Are you serious?
JO: I've never met a woman like you, one who had the drive, the ambition, and the same creative power, the same creative juice. We're the same person Abbie, we're meant to be together.  I'm serious because my heart is serious.

AB: James, this is not professional.
JO: Abbie, this is our time together.  This isn't work-time, and it's not CNN-time or Breitbart-time, it's you and me time. This is what we get to spend together, and let's not ruin it with worky talk.  Let's spend it with us-time, and let's talk with our bodies.

AB: I realize what you're doing.
JO: What I'm doing is putting my heart on the line here.  I don't do this with other people, I've been hurt in the past, I'm trying to make something special here, Abbie, so let's talk about this.

AB: (crying)
JO: Baby don't cry, tears are for yesterday, pleasure is for today.

AB: James, I spent a lot of money to be here today...
JO: (interrupting) Abbie, I spent a lot of money as well, but I'm spending a lot of emotional capital in order to put my heart on the line for you.  I don't share myself this much with people, this is hard for me.

AB: James, if you didn't want to be serious in this interview, you should have told me, this is unprofessional
JO: Abbie, I came here to talk and be together, is it unprofessional to have feelings?  Is it wrong for me to want to get to know you better?

d. the reveal

AB: I don't know, I don't know what's going on... I just don't know...
JO: Abbie, I have something to tell you.  I brought you here not just to talk, or to do the interview, but that we could enjoy one another.  Abbie, I want to be your greatest story, I'll let you inside if you'll let me be inside of you.

e. after the joke

AB: I just need to go, get me back to the dock.
JO: Hey, I can take no for an answer.  I just want you to know that there are a lot of girls I passed up in order to be with you today. MSNBC was ready to go all the way and I had to turn them down.

AB: I want to go back.
JO: And I want a hand job, but we don't always get what we want.  I'll take you back if you insist though.

f. Woliner jokes are under number 11

6. Persona

James should have a more sleazy persona than normal, with slicked back hair and exposing his chest.  It should be entirely over the top.  The persona should be very touchy-feely,ideally wearing gold chainds and wih cigarettes.

7. Timeline

a. Filming and time-stamping the original 2 minute speech explaining the future punk
b. lining things up with CNN
c. sailing - Tuesday August 17, 2010
d. aftermath

8. Additional informations and research needed

a. Boudreau's biography and background, for discussion during the operation.

9. Jokes and one-liners

Abby, this is the pleasure palace, and I want you to show you the inner sanctum.

I want to take you to a higher place, CNN must be a tough place to work, let's make some headline love.

It's not news, it's CNN.

10. Video that must be time-stamped and released prior to Tuesday:

My name is James, I work in video activism and journalism.  I've been approached by CNN for an interview where I know what their angle is: they want to portray me and my friends as crazies, as non-journalists, as unprofessional and likely as homophobes, racists or bigots of some sort. Abby, who works for Anderson Cooper at CNN, a network notorious for journalistic malpractice, wants to lull me into thinking she's my friends so she can use me and hurt my career.

Instead, I've decided to have a little fun.  Instead of giving her a serious interview, I'm going to punk CNN.  Abbie has been trying to seduce me to use me, in order to spin a lie about me.  So, I'm going to seduce her, on camera, to use her for a video.  This bubble-headed-bleach-blonde who comes on at five will get a taste of her own medicine, she'll get seduced on camera and you'll get to see the awkwardness and the aftermath.

Please sit back and enjoy the show.

11. Woliner one-liners and jokes

a. In general, about her

"She said what?? This woman's facts are more flimsy than her reputation at the sorority house."

"I saw her and her friends gather outside the studio after the show....I thought I was walking into an audition of 'The Contender' "

"She has a winning, gold-medal personality. Too bad the special olympics don't feature that event."

"After her last poltical rant, NOW organized a campaign to repeal the 19th amendment."

"She really is two-faced. And they're both hideous."

"After all these years, she's got former schoolmates going public to speak out against her. I never thought one could make so many enemies in the second grade."

"It's no surprise she advocates wealth redistribution, as her next three ex-husbands will one day attest"

"Some question her intelligence, but I think it takes a strong mind to regurgitate the talking points of a 60's burnout who lived in a van for three years."

b. In person, to her

"We should meet up after this for a cup of coffee. If I'm paying though, I expect at least a hand job afterwards."

"I see some sharks in some distance...but I promise to protect you, for a small price (looks her up and down and smiles)."

"I always knew you wanted to get me alone, I just figured it'd be at a cheap motel involving handcuffs."

"I love it when you look at me like that. Makes me want to ravage you Ghengis Khan-style."

"Your breasts are incredibly perky. What did that run you...seven, eight grand?"

"You've got amazing lips. I'll bet you've made many football teams happy."

"We should come back to my place after this. I've got a brand new Sony with 3 hours of memory."

"Don't listen to people who say you wear too makeup. I like it. It says to the world, 'I'm worth at least $300 an hour'."

"I can tell you work out and eat right. Just so you know, semen is a great source of protein."

"Since we're at sea, do you want to role play? I'll be the captain and you can be my gallows wench."

12. The overall narrative

a. The theatrical narrative - "on stage"

On stage you are portraying yourself as a tortured artist who is having difficulty finding female companionship due to your art. You are doing this interview because you have to, but you want to creatively and physically connect with this woman in order to fulfill your male desires.

b. The video narrative - "off stage" - the final video product

Off stage the narrative is that you don't take CNN seriously and consider their reporting to be a joke.  You can use a hardline feminist critique against women like Boudreau in order to blunt charges of sexism and also to confuse liberals who will, no doubt, try to use this and any action you take against you.  By pointing out the good journalists who aren't photogenic, you play into their higher beliefs against objective beauty in order to cut Boudreau down to size.  Fundamentally this is all just a way to hurt CNN, but the final product should emphasize how unserious Anderson Cooper and CNN's "journalism" is, and how, noting that ridiculousness and the ridiculousness of their anchors, you decided to play a joke on them instead of giving them a legitimate interview.

As they seduce subjects, so shall they be seduced.  As they tell packaged stories ridiculing their subjects, so shall they be ridiculed.

13. The "joke"

The joke is that the tables have turned on CNN.  Using hot blondes to seduce interviewees to get screwed on television, you are faux seducing her in order to screw her on television.

14. Acting and adaptation

As the operation is going on, James will have to adapt and adjust to her mood and her reaction.  If she is pulling away, withdraw and pull her back in.  If she's unsure, comfort her and reassure her.  Vacillate between somewhat serious interview and the come-hither persona as needed in order to confuse her judgment and also keep her on the boat.

She wants to do the interview, she spent thousands of dollars to do this interview, she is invested.  Our job is to make sure she doesn't run away or break too soon.  You want to make sure you have plenty of video and pre-reveal moments before the reveal, and not to proverbially "shoot your load" before the catalytic moment, the big reveal for her.  So keep her hooked and use hot-cold and push-pull kind of psychological tactics in order to keep her in the skit.

NJO: Video and caption from James O'Keefe's personal YouTube account at http://www.youtube.com/user/featherofsteel‎. There are actually two copies of the video uploaded on the same day. If there's a difference between them I don't see it.

Another edit of the same video would be uploaded to anti-abortion activist Jill Stanek's YouTube account a year later. There are just a couple of small differences. One, this version is three seconds shorter, and two, where the first video featured Michael Bublé's "Save The Last Dance For Me" at the start and near the end, this edit features an original song by James and his friend Anthony Dini at the start, called "Hot Action":

James O'Keefe: UCLA Berkeley's Orgy Man

Uploaded on Sep 28, 2009
Many now know James O'Keefe for his undercover video sting of several nefarious ACORN outlets around the country. But this was not James' undercover video expose. In 2007 James portrayed himself to staff at UCLA Berkeley's Ashe Center and The Center for Women and Men, supposed student health groups, as a studly student about to embark on a Catalina boat orgy. Reported Live Action's The Advocate (http://is.gd/3Mpoj): In an awkwardly entertaining Live Action Films YouTube video, a student amasses over 100 condoms from the UCLA Ashe Center and the Center for Women and Men. He gets them by detailing his plans for an orgy to the front desk attendants. The receptionists tell him to take just three, but the condom man smirks and explains hell need a lot more for his weekend plans. Were going to Catalina on a boat-ride, he says enthusiastically. Ashe Center staff giggle off camera. Its understandable they might laugh. Less understandable is their encouragement. Can I come? Ashe staff workers ask. Are you going to have fun on the boat? Sex with multiple partners? As our student leaves, clutching his condoms, Ashe staff tell him to raise the roof! However, as health professionals, Ashes staff ought to know some sobering facts. Condoms have about a 12% failure rate, according to the Sexuality Information and Education Council. That includes both condom breakage and errors in use. Having made off with 105 condoms in 1 run, the student can expect at least 12 rips and slips at his orgy. Failure could mean pregnancy or STDs. The health center staff mentioned none of these consequences. UCLA health services has failed to fulfill a basic responsibility. Song "Hot Action" copyright James O'Keefe and Anthony Dini. "Hot Action", James O'Keefe and Anthony Dini (2008).
My transcription of the lyrics:

Look and you can find

A way to make it right
So you can get your sleep at night

Ohhhh

Listen to my basics
Open your mouth and taste it
Don't be afraid to face it
Give up your comfortable
Hundred K solution
Kickback contribution
For a truer use than
Once you come to know

We need a bit of action
That'll give this the traction
That's a matter of faction
Why don't you do, you'll bring us down (?)
Give some satisfaction
When you take civil action
Need to go and attack them
Need to shock and get the ground, ground, ground...

The song was later reworked to become "Landrieu Dance".

Alone on the Atlantic
A True Story

On the eve of July 31st, 2004, The NJ Coast Guard received a call from a frantic mother who's son's friend's tiny Sunfsh had not returned from a casual sail early that afternoon off the bay near Long Beach Island. The friend had not said were he was headed and did not have any food or water on his tiny sailboat. A boat so small could not battle ocean currents.

Six HH-60 Jayhawk helicopters scoured the South Jersey Coast all night and well into the next day, from as Far South as Bringantine to as far North as Barnegat Inlet. Then, before dawn on a foggy morning a deep-sea fisherman shined his spotlight on a young man wrapped in a nylon sail lying face down on what appeared to be a 12 foot sailboat without a mast. The boy signaled to the fisherman and told him the follwing.
"I'm from Beach Haven, NJ. I've sailed from the the Mullica River near the Great Bay. I think I have hypothermia. Where are we?"

The fisherman quickly radioed the coast guard who in turned asked to inquire into the boy's identity.
It was indeed who they were looking for.

He had hypothermia, been at sea for three days without food or water, unconscious for two of them, and was found 30 miles off Cape May.
This is his story.

* * *

Sailing is one of those visceral experiences that done every now and then, let’s us know we are free. It is form of meditation. On one hand, for that time, you are completely isolated from all other forms of human life. The steady wind in your ears is loud enough to drown out most other sounds. Water surrounds you at all times, closer to you in a small sailboat. Usually you are far away from shore to render civilization as abstract if it were from an airplane. The art itself requires concentration and focus, but success comes when it is a second nature, at by that time, the actions are instinctual, without thought, the rewards are spontaneous. It is a dichotomy of control and precision during complete relaxation of the mind and body. Similar to skiing, you only steer and direct, you do not empower. Unlike running and tennis, weight lifting or hiking, writing or singing, dancing or sex, you, the human being, does not give or expend any of your own energy for some end justifying the means. Your control is the end, the choice is yours, you may go in any direction you chose, and there are an infinitely many destinations, the bridge, the mountain, the tributary, or an endless expanse of blue. What does it matter? You harness the energy of nature around you and are one with your surroundings wherever you go. The sensation of control and virtue of natural beauty and the elements; sun, sand, water and air against your face, current at your side, brasher with a quicker pace, completely liberate you. But unlike skiing, the craft is stopped by these elements. The body of water is the Oijia Board. Your arms, taught but poised, are the fingers holding down the lines. Yet somehow, without slackening, yours gradually loosen. The powers that be which determine the pace of the wind, guide your trajectory. After a while, the rhythm of each tack matches your heart beat, and that is all that matters. For the briefest of moments, you are satiated; content with the feeling that you have from the sun and the mist against your face, whether it be on the Hudson River near East Point or the The Great South Bay near Fire Island or a small pond in the Adirondacks, you feel a combination of hope and adventure. Impatience, restlessness, and tension of modern, feaful life all seem to vanish with the stiffness in our muscles. The water tower is your only benchmark, it begins to grow low on the horizon. And on that long steady tact during a summer day when you’re trapeze-ing off the side of a spooner pulling a 35 degree angle towards the sunset, you understand why God put you on that earth in the first place. You close your eyes, and you find yourself in love.

BEACH HAVEN, NJ. I worked at Fleet Bank that summer, and dreaded putting on Khakis and a Button Down while others around me had sandals and went shirtless. Every morning I wiped the dew off the steering wheel of my Triumph Spitfire, (salty dew that no doubt caused damage to the undercarriage of the British classic), ate a pop tart, and hopped in the two seater for a wonderful 7 minute ride from my Will Marty’s house in Holgate, the southern tip of Long Beach Island, to the bank in Beach Haven. It was 75 degree top-down ride to work. Along the way, the orange sun rose on the horizon to the east on the Atlantic. The thistle grass blew in a warm breeze. Beach Mansions to the right. Tourists and locals rode their tricycles along the shoulder of the two lane road. I shifted into 4th, put one hand out the window, and leaned back against the English made leather seat – for about 4 minutes every morning, it felt like I was in heaven.
Then I drank a Boost from 7-eleven, bought a copy of the Wall Street Journal (which the Branch President did not like to see me reading during slow hours), and went about my day, recording transactions, debits and credits inside my financial dungeon. They pay was good, but the irony of my disposition was tantalizing. I dreaded the air conditioning and the view from my chambers towards Fred’s Diner, 15 more degrees left out of the teller drive through window, and you could almost make out the ramp to the beach. Almost. Scantily cladded tourists from Brooklyn would request credit card advances for 1000 dollars in Cash (25% interest rate), and the next day business owner who’s product the customer bought would bring in the same cash for deposits. It was a never-ending flow of money in and out, usually 600 dollar deposits a day from Sunglass Hut, 2000 from the Pizzaria. Predicatable, booring, but like clockwork. But the day would go buy, I would eat my hot dog and slupy on the beach, taking off my brown loafers, rolling up my khakis, and staring out at the Turquoise ocean feeding tortilla chips to the seagulls, trying my best to soak up my summer working in the resort, trying to appreciate the beauty of the ocean and the seagulls, this place, looking forward to my day off tomorrow when I could rip off my formal attire and hop into my sailboat, newly purchased for 400 dollars from the local marina.
At the end of the day I locked up my 15 thousand dollars cash in the safe and headed over to the bay to watch the sunset– even more important, to monitor the wind and currents. It was a still current, slight wind. I watched the sailboats – and I anticipated what it would be like on the bay. I had been teased by the other sailors on the bay for a month now. The bay was still at dusk, it was a sight to behold. Little islands dot the Beach Haven side. You hear nothing but the quiet roar of a distant skee-do, the twinkle of the now redish sun reflecting against the water, a young boy catching a fish and showing it to his father. The dry wooden planks beneath your feet. No memories or regrets. No future, no emails, no return in a few days. The beauty made me think of ███████. But my life and job were both on the beach for that summer, what seemed to me so far away from home. And my eyes were set on sailing the bay in the next day.

Mr. Marty, father of my friend who’s house I was staying in, always warned me about the currents. Beach Haven is on Long Beach Island, a 40 mile stretch of thin sand dune off the coast of South Jersey. To the north is Barnegat Inlet, one of the most dangerous inlets on the East Coast. To the south is beach haven inlet. Trillions of gallons of icy-cold sea water flow in and out of these waterways into the bay, and then they flow out again, two times a day. That accounts for Beach Haven’s tremendous tide flow. Most who venture out into the Ocean are experienced fisherman with twin-engine outboards. But Mr. Marty told me he never had the courage to do it. The current of all that water flowing in the bay and dumping out of it, is too much for the power of his engines to surmount. I took his observations with a grain of salt. One hand, I was no rookie to maritime navigation. My father owned a 32 foot Welcraft with twin 12 c, Chevrolet engines, we took vacations all over the the tri-state area from Fire Island to the Block. On another, Mr. Marty was a stubborn man, who had a myriad other eccentricities (as did his son). I listened to his cocksure advice on many matters, not just relating to the sea. There were his views on politics. On religion and above all, how to treat your employees. There was no debate to be had with the man. And I listened to him without saying much of anything, since I was never asked for my dissenting opinion. I was an anthropologist seeing how another father raised his family. I was paying a paltry 20 dollars a week to stay at his house. He even made me dinner, every night.
So when Mr. Marty strongly advised me not to venture out to far from the Bay in my newly purchased Sunfish that day, I nodded accordingly agreeing, half listening to his story about what happened to a man who got caught in the current. I walked into the other room and asked Will if he would help me drag the craft to the Bay cove. I grabbed a plastic bag of beef jerky and a juice box.

It was a beautiful day. 80 degrees. Boats and sailboats were everywhere, especially in the narrow canal toward the middle of the bay. To the south or left about 1 mile, was the outlet to the atlantic ocean. In the distance you could see the haze of atlantic city over the dozens of unihabited marsh islands. No one lived south of holgate. There was a bird sanctuary, a few abandoned buildings on the islands, towers, lights. Watertowers. Other strange, infrustracture, signs, staircases. I planted my 10 foot aluminum mast, connected the lines to the rudder from the mast. Ran the tiller half way through the slot in the middle of the craft. I partially hosted the sail, de-snagged the lines from the rudder in the bow, and felt the boat jerk in the direction opposite the wind. It was a wonderful feeling, the straightenting of the rudder, the concave sail and the steady stream of current flowing behind you. You have captured he first gust against a raised sail.
